Wingate-Dozier Home
May have been built in 1846 by Mr. Elias Miller. It was later acquired by
Mr. Hezekiah Wingate, a steamboat captain who drowned in the Chattahoochee River.
Many alterations have been made, but all of the original structure is still there.
When it was built, it was a cottage-type house with a hipped roof and
probably a "dog-trot" down the center.
